About My Dog(s):

Raleigh is a rescued 6 yr old Golden Retriever. He was confiscated from his owners in WV with a badly embedded collar, and I adopted him from Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue
Ziggy is a rescued 5 year old collie mix, born in a barn in KY to a stray rough collie bitch. I got him through Cedaridge Collie Rescue.
They're my boys.

About Me:

I'm a dog trainer in MD. I do a lot of volunteer work with dog rescue groups, and I donate a lot of my earnings to rescue groups and shelters.

Angels is half Pit Bull and half Golden Retriver and she weight 40 pounds. Her medical records are up to date. We also bought insurance for her. We have been working with her to get her house trained. So far, she is doing fine. However, she needs to be taken out every two hours or so.

My son will not tell us where she got the dog. The only thing we know is that whomever had her, is very irresponsable. This person has Pit Bulls and trains them to fight. Angel was being abused by the older dogs. When we got her she had suffered cuts and she was very scared. She is very affreid of the broom. So we belive that she possible was hit with it.

Today, Angel has broght my husband and I lots of love. She rides with me when I have go out. She also is training me. She is so full of energy that sometimes she makes me run. She is very strong for me.

She does require lots of room to play and attention. She needs lots of excercise. Our walks consist of at least from one hour to two hours. When she gets home, she is tired and rest for a long time. Therefore, I know that the person that takes her, can use this dog as a motivator to keep in shape and Angel will return lots of love. She loves to sit next to me when I am working. I put her in a crate when I can not attend to her and she is fine with it, but I make sure that it is not for a long time and take the time to ler her know that I am busy and will attend to her as soon as I am done.

My objective is to find a good parent for Angel that can really take care of her. I do not want her to go just to anyone. Otherwise, we will have to mange and keep her. The only issues with her is like any poppy dog; challanges with keeping an eye on her and educate her when she is not get into things.
